For all of us thinking that Guardians of the Galaxy 2 may well be the point at which Avengers and Guardians begin to crossover as Thanos becomes a problem for both teams, leading to the Infinity War, think again…
“I don’t feel beholden to that stuff at all,” James Gunn has told MTV.
“I think [Guardians 2 is] really about the Guardians and what they are doing. We’re not subservient to the Avengers.
“It’s not a movie that’s made to move toward Infinity War [but] something that’s made to move toward future cosmic movies.”
Does that mean they won’t be part of Infinity War at all? Time will tell…
