On set pictures and footage reveals the full look of Pattinson’s Batman suit… and Batcycle!

February 22nd, 2020 by Marc Comments

Well, we guess this answers the ‘what are the ears like?’ question that’s been floating around ever since writer/director Matt Reeves revealed the costume footage a while ago (here).

With the movie currently filming in Scotland we were expecting some leaked goodness and last night we certainly got it.

A batch of images – and footage – appeared online of a scene from the movie wherein Batman (Robert Pattinson) – on his Batcycle – races through a graveyard followed by another bike which it seems has Zoe Kravitz’s Selina Kyle on it.

It must be pointed out that it is not Pattinson in the Batsuit, but rather a stunt double/stuntman (who is rocking a very Ben Affleck chin) and it is also likely that the cape will be added in to the scene digitally at a later date.

It definitely looks to me like the suit and bike are a throwback to the Batman: Year Zero look:

It’s worth noting the ears which are slightly longer than Affleck’s but not as long as the Keaton ones and the fact that his suit is all black with no yellow belt or bat symbol. I really like the cargo pants look and all the pouches on his belt and suit. I imagine this as his suit early on in the movie before it becomes a more traditional looking costume.

Also, the eyes on the suit have us a little baffled… will they be white eventually or is it a goggles look similar to the tactical suit in Justice League? We’ll all know on June 25th, 2021.

In the meantime, let me know what you all think of the leaked images and footage.

A video also appeared with a slightly unconventional ending…

The second biker in the video above is believed to be Zoe Kravitz’s Catwoman/Selina Kyle:
