Power Rangers movie and TV series gets go ahead… writer in place as well as director

October 30th, 2020 by Marc Comments

Big news for Power Rangers fan as the big screen reboot has a writer in place and is ready to go-go.

eOne and Hasbro have hired Bryan Edward Hill to write to writer director Jonathan Entwistle’s movie. On top of that, Entwistle will also oversee a new Power Rangers TV series to tie into the movie based on the 1993 Saban TV series.

Hill has worked on several comics, tv shows and movies over the last few years including Black,  Revenge of Magic, Phantom and The Russian Specialist.

So far there’s confirmation on if the is a full reboot or will carry on from the 2017 movie, but the safe money is on this being a full reboot.

The big question is, under Hasbro, will it tie into the new Transformers and GI Joe franchises (more here)…

Are you excited to see what Hasbro does with the Power Rangers or do you wish the whole idea would die quietly in the corner? Let me know your thoughts…
