In a recent interview about his latest film, The Martian, Ridley Scott let slip that his next film is going to be Prometheus 2.
It was let slip during a chat with Empire Magazine, when he explained what he was doing when The Martian finished filming. “I was starting to look for locations for my next movie, which is Prometheus 2.”
Although this is good confirmation to what his next film will be, we don’t actually know much else about it. We don’t know when it will be released, what it will be about or even when filming will actually start.
Prometheus was met with a mixed reaction. I thought the film was ok but there were moments that I found lacking or a bit silly. Scott has said that he may introduce a new alien into the Prometheus 2 which could be interesting. I’m not one to leap for joy at this news though.
Prometheus 2 is likely to be released sometime in 2017 or 2018.
