Rise of the Wonder Women? Lynda Carter confirms Wonder Woman 2 talks

April 18th, 2018 by Marc Comments

We’ve been pondering original Wonder Woman actress Lynda Carter’s appearance in the Wonder Woman movie since the first movie was in production (here), heck she even appeared in Supergirl since then (here) but now we finally have reason to rejoice.

Carter, in an interview on NBC’s Today with Megyn Kelly (watch it below), confirmed that she has been talking to director Patty Jenkins about a role in Wonder Woman 2! Yay!

Carter famously played Wonder Woman in the 1970s TV series but now he may be set to appear alongside Gal Gadot on screen: “I’ve been talking to [Patty Jenkins] about it. She’s given me some hints about it and I guess it’s up to Warner Bros if they want to spend the money. […] It really is up to Patty, and if it works in an organic way it’ll be great fun and it’ll be wonderful to do.”

We would love to see Carter in any role in the movie but we really hope it’s a pivotal one… and Amazon elder, surely?

Wonder Woman 2 is set for release on November 1st, 2019 and will see Patty Jenkins directing Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman along with Kristen Wiig as Cheetah.

Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife.
