Out this one under ‘rumour’ for now, but it seems that Ant-Man 3 is in the works at Marvel.
At the end of Endgame and moving forward into Phase 4 and 5, Paul Rudd’s Ant-man/Scott Lang is still part of the Avengers team and while we lost a few core members, he – and Evangeline Lily’s Wasp -aren’t among them.
and while we’ve heard recently that the duo may be set for Tv with Disney+ and then we heard Marvel bossman Kevin Feige say of the future of that corner of the MCU that it was still in play when asked about Ant-man and the Wasp: “The chess pieces were arranged very purposefully after Endgame. Those that are off the board are off, and those that are still on, you never know.”
Now it seems that while the duo did not appear in the MCU’s Phase 4 line-up (here) they are likely to return in Phase 5.
Twitter user @_CharlesMurphy has been sharing accurate timelines for Marvel’s Phase Five for a whil enow and his latest update has Ant-Man 3 set for July 29th, 2022.
He notes that this is based off the creation of a new production company specifically focused on the movie: “Pym Particles Productions III exists. They create these LLCs when they make films/shows. This is news, not a rumor.”
He goes on to add that if the movie does film in Summer 2021, then July 2022 is likely the release date as the last two ANt-man movies arrived in July.
