Run, Hide, Fight star Isabel May cast in big Scream VII role

It looks like Scream VII has just scored a massive win with its first major new cast member.

We already know that Scream creator Kevin Williamson is on writing and directing duties with original stars Neve Campbell and Courtney Cox back as Sidney Prescott and Gale Weathers and we know too that Patrick Dempsey is close to signing on as Mark Kincaid, Sidney’s now husband, who he first played over twenty years ago in Scream 3 but now we have a very exciting addition.

Yellowstone 1883 and 1923 star Isabel May is close to joining the cast as Sidney’s daughter.

“Stu is still alive…” Matthew Lillard prepping us for a Scream VII return?!

Now, we saw Sidney with a pram in Scream V but given that Scream 3 was over two decades ago, there’s nothing to say that she hasn’t got a grown-up daughter too.

Interestingly, we learned that Ghostbusters: Afterlife and Frozen Empire star McKenna Grace was in talks to star as Sidney’s daughter but its unclear if this is the same character or if indeed, this is the daughter rumoured to be named Tatum after Sidney’s best friend, played by Rose McGowan, who was murdered by Ghostface in the first movie.

While everyone is talking about May’s previous roles, no one is discussing her stellar turn in Run, Hide, Fight (Hmmmmm… I wonder why?) in which she played a high school student caught in a shooting event who decides to put the military training her dad gave her to good use and to go after the attackers; it’s a phenomenal movie and she’s incredible in it, making us even more excited to she her go up against Ghostface.

Although, I pray they don’t do what they did in Scream VI with Samara Weaving.

But that’s another story altogether.
