Simon Pegg says he, Edgar Wright and Nick Frost will work togther again in the future

One of our favourite trilogies has to be The Cornetto Trilogy, the teaming up of stars Simon Pegg and Nick Frost with director Edgar Wright is a collaboration that never ceases to amuse, bewilder and absolutely delight us here at FTN HQ.

And while we love all three’s work when they’re not together, it’s the three working in unison that still gives us the biggest smile… and it seems that Spaced, Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz and The World’s End may not be the end of the story.

In a new interview with Pegg, the star has revealed that, yes, there could be something on the horizon that could bring them all together again.

“With Edgar and I, we have to just get our schedules in order so that we can write together again,” Pegg says. “We’re talking about stuff, there’s been ideas thrown around and we’re circling something. But obviously he’s really busy, I’m really busy.

Edgar Wright breaks down the Shaun of the Dead sequel that almost was

“It’s not like the old days when we were just trying to get seen and we had all that time. Now things are a little more complicated. But there’s room in my heart for all that stuff and I obviously want to work Edgar and Nick again because they’re my mates and it means we get to hang out more

The last time we saw Pegg and Frost together was on the fun but short-lived Truth Seekers, while Wright received critical and fan adoration for the recent Last Night at Soho which was so gorgeous to look at, it almost made us forgive the massive plotholes.

Whatever the three get back together for, we know it will be worth the wait with the three friends consistently bringing us movies that are endlessly rewatchable and rewarding… we just wait it was here already.

Are we on our own in ur excitement for the reunion of Wright, Pegg and Frost or do you share our enthusiasm? Let me know all your thoughts, gang.

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
