There aren’t a lot of filmmakers working today as active on social media as Guardians of the Galaxy director James Gunn. He’s been currently in the throes of prepping the Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 shoot and has taken to Twittewr and Facebook to tease some information about the new movie.
He regularly conducts Q&A with fans through his social media accounts and once again answered some questions over the weekend, revealing some interesting details in the process, write Squareeyed.
Gunn revealed that he has cast both Star-Lord’s father (rumoured to be Kurt Russell) and the main villain (we don’t know if it’s the main villain but this obscure guy might make an appearance). He also revealed that he didn’t have any budgetary restriction from Marvel and said he would be open to directing more films for Marvel Studios.
Now with the cast finalised by Gunn and the producers, we can expect an official announcement soon as to who is playing the main villain and Star-Lord’s father. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 arrives on May 5th, 2017.
Below are some of Gunn’s tweets and a behind-the-scenes photo he shared.
