Spider-man reboot casts a ‘key role’…

March 7th, 2016 by Matt Gault Comments

Marvel’s untitled Spider-Man reboot starring Tom Holland is beginning to take shape. Deadline (via Squareeyed) is reporting that Sony and Marvel studios have cast actress/singer Zendaya in a ‘key role.’

According to Deadline’s writer Mike Fleming Jr., she will play a character called Michelle, but details beyond that are thin on the ground, however it is unlikely she is a love interest of Peter Parker’s.

Holland was the first to be cast so that he could be part of the ensemble in the Joe and Anthony Russo-directed Captain America: Civil War.

The Spider-Man reboot will be released July 7, 2017.
