The next Spider-Man movie has an official title: Spider-Man: Homecoming as we reported it probably would be (here and here).
Yes, we kind of love it.
Speaking on stage at CinemaCon, Sony Pictures chairman Tim Rothman confirmed the news on Tuesday night and said the title was intended to show how Spidey is trying to find his way home.
They also showed a small portion of footage, featuring Parker coming home to find Aunt May (now played by Marisa Tomei) speaking with Robert Downey Jr’s Tony Stark.
Spider-Man: Homecoming will be released on July 7, 2017. Before that though, Spidey’s MCU debut is just weeks away when he swings into action in Captain America: Civil War, which punches its way into cinemas in the UK on April 29, May 6 for US.
