While it was revealed a while ago (here) that Matthew Vaughn was at work on the third Kingsman movie and it was pretty much expected that the adventure would continue on from the first two movies.
But it seems not.
The first two movies starred Taron Edgerton as Eggsy and Colin Firth as Harry but now it seems the duo won’d be seeing the trilogy out together.
Edgerton has revealed that he’s not returning for the next movie: “I don’t know how hot off the press this is and I think I’m allowed to say it, but I’m not in the next Kingsman movie.
“We’re [he and Vaughn] still very much in business together, but his next journey in that world doesn’t involve me.”
Now we hear the third movie will take the story into the first World War and the establishment of the first Kingsman organisation, leading into spinoff Kingsman: The Great Game.
On top of that, there’s a TV series on the way too.
We don’t think this is Edgerton severing ties with the franchise, but rather his story is yet to be concluded in the future.
Thoughts?
Kingsman 3 hits on November 9th, 2019.
