Kingsman 3 rushes into production to take Bond 25’s original 2019 release date

September 23rd, 2018 by Marc Comments

With James Bond 25 having been pushed back from November 8th, 2019 to 14 February 2020 having needed to find a new director (here) it looks like another super-spy organisation are set to move to the original date next year.

Fox has confirmed that date for Matthew Vaughn’s third Kingsman film.

Exhibitor Relations revealed the news:

“The holy trinity has been confirmed. Fox’s UNTITLED KINGSMAN MOVIE drops Nov. 8, 2019. And yes, Matthew Vaughn returns to write and direct,” report Exhibitor Relations.

It is believed this movie will be the end of the relationship between Harry and Eggsy, tying that story up, and setting up the prequel movie already planned and possibly the TV series we’ve heard rumoured too:

“There will also be potentially two spin-offs with a 1900s based Kingsman: The Great Game and another movie based on the American branch set up in the second movie called Statesman.

“On top of that… an eight-hour Kingsman TV series is on its way,” we reported in June (here)

Reports of new characters who will be introduced in this movie but will star in the prequel are also doing the rounds:

“One of the characters is said to be a teen known as Conrad, a cocky young son of a British Duke who wants to aid his country in the Great War,” with another older character being included with no details known but apparently Ralph Fiennes is the current favourite for the role.

It seems that we’ll have the duo of Jeff Bridges and Colin First back too with Bridges saying in a recent interview: “We’re jamming on ideas. There’s no script but Matthew [Vaughn]’s been talking about it from the beginning!”

And First adding: “I remember very early conversations with Matthew,he felt that three [movies] would be right for this. He hadn’t got them mapped out, I just think he could feel three.”

Honestly, we really liked the first movie but the second was, in our opinion, a train wreck, so hopefully things can be improved if it moves forward.

It’s looking like a January 2019 start for filming so it’s going to be a tough schedule to get it in cinemas in November.

Are you looking forward to getting back into the Kingsman world? Let us know…
