So, we’re only days away from the release of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem and Paramount have just revealed how confident they are that the movie is going to be a hit.
I reported last month that we would be getting an animated series set after the movie (here) and it’s now been confirmed by Paramount and Nickelodeon chief Brian Robbins… but that’s not all.
Paramount Pictures and Nickelodeon Movies are developing a sequel to Mutant Mayhem as well as a two-season series that will bridge the films and will be called Tales of The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
“In the nearly 40 years since ‘Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles’ launched into the zeitgeist, it has entertained generations of fans and only continues to grow,” said Robbins.
“We are excited to grow TMNT’s legacy in partnership with Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg at Point Grey, and Jeff Rowe, who are innovating the franchise with their singular brand of humor and elevated storytelling for audiences everywhere, across virtually every platform.”
The series will see Micah Abbey, Shamon Brown Jr., Nicolas Cantu and Brady Noon as the four Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles returning to their roles.
I’ve my tickets booked for the movie and I early hope their faith is properly rewarded on this one… but will it be?
Thoughts? I know you have them! Voice-off in the usual ways on FTN’s Facebook, Twitter and Instagram
