Zorro is a highly iconic character. Based in California and of Spanish decent he is a caped and masked hero of the people. With his trusty steed Tornado, he’d go around defending the innocent and also cutting a Z into things, because why not?

Well, apparently the Zorro reboot is going to change a few things, and by a few it’s a major few – you may remember the concept art we had waaaaay back in 2013 (here).

Well, it seems the Post-Apocalyptic Zorro Reboot is still happening.

Yes, you read that right. Apparently; “[for] years, 20th Century Fox was developing a futuristic take on the iconic pulp character Zorro”.

Antonio Gennari, the CEO of Lantica Media said that, “[every] generation has its own Zorro hero and we’re proud to be able to introduce a new Zorro to this generation”.

The concept trailer for Zorro: Reborn does look like it has potential. Although it could also easily fall into the trap of trying to make something more modern and new and it failing really badly, Oz the Great and Powerful and Gulliver’s Travels both spring to mind.
