The Purge creator says he plans next movie to be the conclusion of the franchise

October 25th, 2018 by Marc Comments

Ok, I’m going to be totally honest here… I like the Purge movies. Well, I liked the first two, the third and fourth weren’t great. And I’m actually really enjoying the Amazon series too, so I’ll go see another movie… but it looks like the next one may be the last.

Much to the happiness of many.

But… for those who want to see more Purge, pull up a rock and read this.

James DeMonaco, creator of The Purge, has been talking about the next step in the franchise and it looks like he’s ready to call an end to Purge Night.

“I have it in my head,” he says of the idea to wrap it all up, “I think I’m going to write it. I think it’s a great way to end it all. We want to end it all, I think, in this one, and I’m very excited. When I came up with the idea and pitched it to everybody, they seemed psyched, and I think it will be a really cool ending, how we take this one home.”

Surely, the franchise can only end with either the government being overthrown and Purge night stopped OR the idea of Purge night becomes a year-long thing and society crumbles.

What do you think? Are you a fan of The Purge series? How do you think it should end? Let us know…
