Ok, get ready for this… Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson is planning on starring in a sci-fi comedy movie called Alpha Squad Seven at Dreamworks.

Mic drop.

Seriously though, the actor and San Andreas producer Beau Flynnare are teaming with Jeremiah Friedman and Nick Palmer, the guys behind the pitch which has Beau Flynn producing via his FlynnPictureCo banner along with Johnson, who will produce through his 7 Bucks Productions.

Not much is known about the movie but ” the project is described as four-quadrant action-comedy adventure set in space. Independence Day, Armageddon and Guardians of the Galaxy are some of the watchwords,” and it’s the planned start of a franchise…

The idea was being bid on last week and came down to DreamWorks and Paramount but DreamWorks signed on the dotted line ultimately..

This could, potentially, be something to keep an eye on…
