Well I didn’t expect to hear this when I woke up this morning but Mattel is hoping to bring one of its toy properties to the big screen… Dino-Riders.
For those who are unaware, Dino-Riders was a short-lived toy-line/animated series from the 1980s. The show was about a futuristic war between the Valorians and the Rulons, who were transported back to pre-historic Earth. The war continued here, with the Valorians opting to befriend dinosaurs and convinced them to help, whereas the Rulons used machinery to enslave the dinosaurs. The groups would mount the dinosaurs with futuristic weaponry and engage in conflicts with each other
Normally, I wouldn’t care too much about news such as this, but the concept of this property sounds so completely insane that I have to see how this project will turn out. As of this moment in time, there is very little known about the project, but colour me intrigued to see this madness make its way to screens.
