I have to admit, I like the sounds of this. Tom Cruise is up for the lead role is Walt Disney’s, Bob: The Musical.

For those who are unaware, this film tells the story of a regular guy who, after a blow to the head, suddenly can hear the inner songs of everyone’s heart as his reality is instantly turned into a musical, much to his dismay.

The film is scheduled to have its songs written by Britt McKenzie (Flight of the Conchords and The Muppets). The film has been in varying stages of production since 2004, and I am pretty excited about it. The concept sounds like it is open to a number of humorous moments, and say what you will about Tom Cruise, few actors are as willing to do anything the way he is.

As of this moment in time, there is no release date for the film, but hopefully it will not be too far off. As a big fan of musicals, I would like to see another make its way to the silver screen.
