The European premiere of Captain America: Civil War saw actor Tom Holland taking to the red carpet to talk about his role as the web-slinging superhero. The British star will make his debut as Spidey in Civil War, donning an impressive new suit too (as glimpsed in the trailer).

However, when he was asked about the suit at the premiere in London, Holland admitted that he was disappointed with the costume because it was baggy and not ‘as cool’ as he had hoped.

“I have to say it was a little disappointing, because my stunt double at the time was a little taller than I am, and I had to wear his suit because they didn’t have one for me,” the actor said.

Of course, the studio fixed that right up for him and he thought it then looked ‘incredible.’

Holland was joined on the red carpet by Robert Downey Jr, who plays Iron Man. The face of the MCU spoke of his fondness for the young actor playing Spider-Man.

“Spider-Man is English again,” said Downey Jr, congratulating Holland on his debut.

When asked about filming his own solo Spider-Man movie: “I was unbelievably excited about it anyway but this just raises it to a new level.”

“To be here and to be surrounded by this wonderful cast is just incredible, and I’m so proud of this movie, and just, everything’s amazing.”
