Getting tired of shared comicbook universes? Well buckle up because there’s another one coming…

Sony Pictures are officially moving forward with the a Valiant Comics movie universe and have already agreed to a five movie plan based on Harbinger, Bloodshot and finally Harbinger Wars reports The Wrap.

“Within the last month, Sony has preemptively renewed its option on “Harbinger” — a comic following a teenage runaway Peter Stanchek with massive telekinetic powers — for a sum in the high six figures and is moving to package the pictures quickly.

“The previously announced “Bloodshot” — about a mortally wounded soldier resurrected with cutting-edge nanotechnology and charged with rounding up “harbingers” like Stanchek — is now seen as the second film in the series.”

Harbinger’s  screenplay is by Arrival and Lights Out writer Eric Heissererand it’s believed that, should the movies perform well, it could lead to an ongoing cinematic universe, much like Marvel and DC are currently working on.

The report states that characters like HARD Corps, Livewire, Generation Zero, and, most notably, Faith feature in the scripts and are certainly options for big screen outings.

“Valiant’s library is truly one of the great and as-yet untapped wells of intellectual property anywhere in Hollywood. The publisher’s bench of more than 2,000 superhero characters (with lifetime sales of more than 80 million copies) makes it the third largest library of superheroes behind Marvel and DC — and the only one not currently owned by major conglomerate.”

So get ready because this could be a real contender and we’re genuinely excited to see what Sony and Valiant can bring to the screen.

In related news, Jason David Frank, one of the original Green Power Rangers has been revealed by Valiant Entertainment as Bloodshot in the upcoming web series from Bat in the Sun.

The actor revealed the image below on his Instagram page with the message: “It’s official I am bloodshot! Valiant and Bat in the Sun top secret Project! These are part of New York Comic Con’s free autographed exclusive collectible item. See you all at Valiant’s Booth Friday, Saturday and Sunday with a new Bloodshot item each day at NYCC.”
