Get ready for the new daily show

Wait, they want WHO to star in the Knight Rider reboot?!

August 22nd, 2017 by Marc Comments

Well, we did not see this coming for Knight Rider. Although, given past events on Starsky and Hutch and The Dukes of Hazzard, we probably should have.

A few days ago star of Knight Rider, David Hasselhoff had said he’s recently met director Robert Rodriguez who asked him for a selfie and the Hoff told him no to the selfie, but he could make a new Knight Rider series: “I have met Robert Rodriguez. He does Dusk til Dawn and Machete. And I said ‘You need to do Knight Rider.’ Because he was doing a marathon of Knight Riders and he said ‘Can we have a selfie!?’ And I said, ‘No, I don’t want a selfie! I want to do the movie! I want to shoot the TV series! I want to bring it back and make it dark! Michael Knight comes back and he’s pissed.’ … I hope it happens, and if it does, it’ll be kind of like Logan. It will be dark. Hasselhoff as Michael Knight in 2017. Knight Rider. The saga continues.”

However, while we didn’t really think anything would come of this, given Hasselhoff’s comments recently and the fact that a new online series was filming (here), we figured a sequel to the 1980s original was coming.

However, it seems not.

The Weinstein Company is now rumoured to want to do a Knight Rider movie and it’ll be an action comedy that they want to star John Cena as Michael Knight and Kevin Hart as the voice of KITT.

However, as of now, the actors are in no way attached to the role but they are the ones the studio wants given Cena’s rising star as an actor in Sisters, Trainwreck and the HBO Sports mockumentary Tour de Pharmacy and, well, Kevin Hart is a star already.

Does the world need a Knight Rider comedy movie? We’d rather see Knight return as a hero the world needs right now… what about you?
