Want to know who will voice Peter Parker in Spider-Man: Into the Spider-verse? Also, who will Spidey’s enemies be?

We have some very cool news from CinemaCon for all you web-heads out there…

While the Venom trailer from Sony both exhilarated and disappointed in equal measure, Sony also debuted more footage from the Animated movie Spider-man: Into The Spider-verse from Chris Miller and Phil Lord and we’re hearing it looks amazing (ahem).

On top of that, we’ve got it that the older Peter Parker/Spidey will be voiced by New Girl’s Jake Johnson

Along with that, we also know that Spider-Man will face off against three big-time Marvel villains: Ultimate  Green Goblin, the Kingpin and The Prowler.

Now, not to sound conspiratorial or anything, but we can’t help but notice that Kingpin already exists in the MCU, having been played terrifyingly by Vincent D’Onofrio in the Netflix Daredevil series. And Solo star Donald Glover played Aaron Davis in Spider-man: Homecoming… David is Miles Morales’ uncle (you may recall in Homecoming he made reference to his nephew) AND The Prowler.

Could this mean that the movie –  as has been speculated several times about Venom – could be a far off relative to the MCU? Only time will tell.

Only eight months to wait to find out…

Enter a universe where more than one wears the mask. Phil Lord and Chris Miller, the creative minds behind “The Lego Movie” and “21 Jump Street,” bring their unique talents to a fresh vision of a different Spider-Man Universe, with a groundbreaking visual style that’s the first of its kind. “Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse” introduces Brooklyn teen Miles Morales, and the limitless possibilities of the Spider-Verse, where more than one can wear the mask.

Spider-Man: Into the Spiderverse is scheduled to arrive in theaters on December 14th, 2018.
