With the Scream TV Series set to debut on Tuesday on  MTV, the opening eight minutes of the pilot episode have been released online and…

Well, it’s not too bad. Although it risks being what Scream was originally created to send up. We’re confused, is this meant to be Casey Becker from the opening of the first movie? Anyway… have a look and let us know what you think.

In other Scream news, it looks like the TV series is the death knoll for the possibility of more movies.

The WSJ spoke to Harvey Weinstein, the man responsible for getting the Scream movies made in the first place through his production company, Weinstein Co, and he said that there’s not going to be another Scream movie in cinemas: “There won’t be any more ‘Scream’ movies, and that MTV is the right place for the property to find its next life. It’s like putting an art-house movie in an art-house theater—where the teens reside is MTV.”

Warning this features graphic contend and is very not safe for work (NSFW)

Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
