WATCH: Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire trailer is finally here!

November 9th, 2023 by Marc Comments

It’s finally here! The trailer has arrived for Ghostbusters 4 which we now know is called Ghostbusters: Frozen Kingdom and it looks very, very epic!

Taking a darker and scarier tone than previous movies in the series, this looks like it’s going to be a really epic ride and maybe the movie that Jason Reitman and Gil Kenan wanted to make with Afterlife but realised they had to play it safer there. In contrast, this time, it’s full steam ahead!

Feeling like an extended episode of The Real Ghostbusters, the new villain looks scary and truly threatening. Newcomer to the series Kumail Nanjaini echoed the Real Ghostbusters sentiment on social media, saying: “I am a huge fan of The Real Ghostbusters (the animated series) and that show was a point of reference for this movie. The filmmakers wanted to make a long episode of the animated series. So if you love that show as I do, be excited.”

Oh, we are Kumail, we are!

In Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire, the Spengler family returns to where it all started – the iconic New York City firehouse – to team up with the original Ghostbusters, who’ve developed a top-secret research lab to take busting ghosts to the next level. But when the discovery of an ancient artifact unleashes an evil force, Ghostbusters new and old must join forces to protect their home and save the world from a second Ice Age.

Hitting cinemas on March 29th, 2024, Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire stars Paul Rudd, Carrie Coon, Mckenna Grace, Finn Wolfhard, Logan Kim, Celeste O’Connor, Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Ernie Hudson, and Annie Potts, in addition to series newcomers Kumail Nanjiani, Patton Oswalt, James Acaster, and Emily Alyn Lind.

We were supposed to get this next month… those extra months are going to be torture!

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
