WATCH: Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3 trailer swoops in

December 1st, 2022 by Marc Comments

Ok, I know we had the very funny, fun and emotional Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special last week and they’ve appeared in the last two avengers movies and Thor: Love and Thunder (it’s ok, we’ve tried to forget that mess too), but it seems like a million years since we properly hung out with Quill, Groot, Rocket and the crew.

And, in MCU years, it’ll be six years since Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2 (2017) by the time Vol 3 releases next May, so that IS a million (MCU) years.

But next summer will kick off in style as Chris Pratt, Starlord leads the crew into their third and (semi-) final adventure, at least under James Gunn and, from looking at the trailer, this one is set to really put the team through the wringer and with rumours persisting that Gunn filmed death scenes for the who team, it seems that all bets are off on who will survive.

And that’s really exciting.

Is ALF set to appear in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3? It looks possible…

Remember when Joss Whedon, the guy who created Buffy the Vampire Slayer, the show where no-one was safe – Buffy even died in that show! – and when the Russo brothers’ wiped out the Avengers in Infinity War? Well, it’s exciting to know that the MCU may just have real stakes again for its characters, even the ones we’ve grown to love.

What? You didn’t see that coming?

Anyway, check out the trailer and voice off in all the usual ways and let us know who you think will die and who will make it to fight another day.

The Guardians return only in theaters May 5th, 2023.
