The Star Wars UK Facebook page has shared a very cool video from JJ Abrams on the set of Star Wars Episode VII in Abu Dhabi…

The video is cool for a few reasons – firstly we get a hint of what Tatooine might look like in the new movie, secondly there’s a nice nod to practical effects (and he’s awesome), thirdly you could win a chance to appear in the movie and last, but by no means least, it tells you how you can join Star Wars in helping to make the world a better place through #ForceForChange (here)

Star Wars: Episode VII will be directed by J.J. Abrams from a script that he wrote with Lawrence Kasdan. Set to star to original cast members Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill, Anthony Daniels, Peter Mayhew, and Kenny Baker in addition to new cast members John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, Andy Serkis, Domhnall Gleeson, and Max von Sydow.

Return to a galaxy far, far away on December 18th, 2015.

It may take a second or two to appear… so patience my young Padawan 🙂

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
