A new clip from The Flash, reintroduces a character we last saw in Zack Snyder’s Justice League!
Yes, Kiersey Clemons appears in a new clip from the movie, below, as Iris West, the future love of Barry Allen/Flash played by Ezra Miller and it’s great to have her back as she was cut from the disasters Justice League that was released by Warners Bros directed by Joss Whedon.
It could be argued that this muddies the waters about which Just League is canon now but I believe that her being cut from the released movie doesn’t mean she didn’t still exist… I’m confident that Warners would argue the Whedon cut is canon.
While the DCU, now being overseen by James Gunn and Peter Safran, is being majorly restructured with new stars and stories, the current theory is that The Flash, by introducing the multiverse and altering the reality of the DCEU as it is right now, will be responsible for the new DCU, with the changes being explained away by Flash/Barry Allen’s meddling. Director Andy Muschietti has addressed this, saying that a sequel was the plan but it’s all a bit up in the air right now: “We didn’t talk about it,” he says.
“I think that we’re all waiting to see how this movie does. Of course, there’s excitement about continuing the story, especially if this movie is successful. Of course, there’s an architecture in DC that is brewing and it’s being created. And the question is, will this new architecture absorb this story?
“The good thing about the multiverse is that it is possible. The multiverse allows all of these different worlds to coexist and interact, and so, hopefully, yes, I mean, we don’t know yet. That’s the truth.”

Worlds collide in “The Flash” when Barry uses his superpowers to travel back in time in order to change the events of the past. But when his attempt to save his family inadvertently alters the future, Barry becomes trapped in a reality in which General Zod has returned, threatening annihilation, and there are no Super Heroes to turn to.
That is, unless Barry can coax a very different Batman out of retirement and rescue an imprisoned Kryptonian… albeit not the one he’s looking for. Ultimately, to save the world that he is in and return to the future that he knows, Barry’s only hope is to race for his life. But will making the ultimate sacrifice be enough to reset the universe?
