The trailer, below, features some new footage and has us excited for the showdown between these two legends and the latest threat to their – and our – world a new villain about which director Adam Wingard says: “We wanted to come up with an antagonist that would both be a match for Kong and Godzilla, and that’s really hard to do. There’s a lot more to this character and how he’s a threat, and that’s going to be something that’s going to be fun to kind of dole out.”

The epic new film will delve further into the histories of these Titans, their origins, and the mysteries of Skull Island and beyond, while uncovering the mythic battle that helped forge these extraordinary beings and tied them to humankind forever.

Following on from Godzilla, the franchise has also included Kong: Skull Island (2017), Godzilla: King of the Monsters (2019) and most recently Godzilla vs. Kong in 2021 and it looks like this new movie will draw from the lore of all the other movies as well as opening it up for the future.
