So tomorrow we may well find out who the big bad guy is in Transformers: The Last Knight…

A new viral video has been released via the social pages for the movie with the tagline: “Something wicked this way comes”.

The video shows next to nothing but in the background can be heard morse code which spells out the warning: “I’m coming for you May 31st.”

Here’s the thing; while the movies have left a lot to be desired overall, we still get excited for them and, if they are as good as the first and third movies we’ll be happy.

As for the villin? Well, it’s hard to say who we may see, given that the usual suspects – Megatron, Galvatron, Shockwave – have all been covered already in the movies.

It’s possible we’ll see characters like Trypticon (giant robot dinosaur who can turn into a city) or perhaps Six-Shot (a ruthless killer with the strength of Megatron and the ability to turn into six deadly forms including a panther-like cat, a spaceship and a tank) or the big bad himself… Unicron – we got the feeling that Lockdown’s story hinted at him in Transformers: Age of Extinction.

While we expect Unicron must appear at sometime, we don’t think we’re there just yet.

Whoever it is, it seems the US State Department is aware of them from the video, which you can see below.

Thoughts?

Transformers: The Last Knight is directed by Michael Bay starring Mark Wahlberg, Stephen Merchant, Isabela Moner, Jean Dujardin, Jerrod Carmichael, with Peter Cullen returning as the voice of Optimus Prime. It will appear on June 23rd, 2017

He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
