WATCH: Star Wars Celebration: Teaser for spin-off Rogue One is leaked UPDATE: Logo, concept art and details

From one of the last panels of Star Wars Celebration comes a teaser for the first  spinoff movie, Rogue One.

Director Gareth Edwards revealed that the movie will be from a time when there was no Jedi and just a bunch of real people with no mystical abilities who are simply trying to save the universe.

Anyway, the official synopsis reads: “A rogue band of resistance fighters unite for a mission to steal the Death Star plans and bring a new hope to the galaxy.” Edwards confirmed that it takes place after Episode III, before Episode IV, and “closer to Episode IV.”

So it is set between Revenge of the Sith and A New Hope oh and these movies will now be called Anthology movies to separate them from the sequel trilogy.

Here’s the leaked footage – we expect it to be online soon and will share it as soon as it is.

But we’re excited about the big thing in the sky.
