We’re not going to lie, this trailer for XX, the new horror anthology written and directed by women, is bloody scary stuff.

The anthology features three stories, The Birthday Party, Her Only Living Son, The Box and Don’t Fall and from the trailer each one (but especially Don’t Fall) seem to deliver loads in the spinechilling category.

The anthology hits cinema and on demand on February 17th so you get to choose where you get scared. Sweet deal.

All kinds of skin-crawlingly creepy stuff is afoot in the first trailer for XX, a horror anthology entirely written and directed by women. The film, which is premiering at Sundance this month, features work from four filmmakers. The Invitation’s Karyn Kusama is the veteran of the group, while Annie Clark is the newcomer among them, at least in this field. Clark, mind you, is better known as rock star St. Vincent, but she makes her directorial debut here with The Birthday Party, starring Melanie Lynskey. The other two entries are by Roxanne Benjamin and Jovanka Vuckovic. This first look at the film previews a boy who won’t eat, a kid who rips off other people’s nails, and a spooky trip to a deserted locale. XX is due out February 17.

XX is a new all-female helmed horror anthology featuring four dark tales written and directed by fiercely talented women: Annie Clark (St. Vincent) rocks her directorial debut with THE BIRTHDAY PARTY; Karyn Kusama (THE INVITATION, GIRLFIGHT) exorcises HER ONLY LIVING SON; Roxanne Benjamin (SOUTHBOUND) screams DON’T FALL; and Jovanka Vuckovic (THE CAPTURED BIRD) dares to open THE BOX. Award-winning animator Sofia Carrillo (LA CASA TRISTE) wraps together four suspenseful stories of terror featuring a cast including Natalie Brown, Melanie Lynskey, Breeda Wool and Christina Kirk.

In theaters, On Demand, Amazon Video and iTunes February 17th
