WATCH: Vin Diesel confirms new fourth Riddick script will be with him on Friday

May 3rd, 2020 by Marc Comments

While we know that Vin Diesel had a script for the next Riddick movie – called Furya – last July (here) and heard rumours of it filming this year (here), it seems that the final draft is on its way to the actor.

What exactly happened in the meantime, we don’t know, but at least it’s good news and seems the movie is still moving ahead.

Diesel took to Instgram (below), stating: “The latest Chronicles of Riddick script comes in next week. GRRR!”

Grrrrr, indeed, Vin.

Personally, I’m a big fan of the Riddick franchise, with Pitch Black and Riddick both being pretty damned good sci-fi and, even, the much maligned Chronicles of Riddick is a fun universe-building romp. And yes, I liked the animated Dark Fury movie.

So, the prospect of a new Riddick movie is something I would not just be open to, but would outright be excited for.

So, new script on Friday, huh?

Are you excited for a new Riddick movie? Or would you rather lick a cactus? Let me know your thoughts, gang…

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
