While it’s been widely speculated for some time that, despite no casting news yet, we would see a member of the Green Lantern Corp near the end of November’s Justice League movie release, we’ve now got another source claiming that yes it’s true… but not what- or who – you think.
On the latest Periscope Episode, Heroic Hollywood’s Umberto Gonzalez claims that he has it from a good source that the Corp will be represented in the movie but not by either of the two most likely candidates who are Hal Jordan or John Stewart.
Here’s what Gonzalez says: “There is a Green Lantern in Justice League. I forgot how to pronounce him. I forgot the name of the Green Lantern in Justice League, so we’ll see. Hey, maybe by that time they get to cast Hal Jordan and next we’ll throw him in there too who knows… it’s not Kilowog. It’s a funny sounding, I’ll give you a hint it’s a funny sounding name. I’m like okay, better not cast Tyrese. It is confirmed that Green Lantern, a Green Lantern will be in Justice League. I don’t want to give you the spoiler obviously, but yes, there is a Green Lantern.”
So a funny sounding Lantern? It’s not much to go by, given the name of many of the Corp, but it does give us food for thought, given that we were confident it would be Jordan of Stewart we’d see.
