With Flashpoint announced by Warners/DC Jeffrey Dean Morgan just teased he wants to play Batman!

July 23rd, 2017 by Marc Comments

When Warners and DC revealed that the Flash movie would be Flashpoint at SDCC last night (here), we all started wondering what it could  mean.

Of course, one of the big things is that, in Flashpoint, Barry Allen AKA The Flash, changes time in order to save his mother and it’s an event that sends ripples through the DC universe.

And nowhere is it felt more than in Batman’s story. After Flashpoint Bruce’s parents no long die, but Bruce does instead.

And, as a result of the horrific events, Thomas Wayne becomes Batman while Martha cracks under the stress and sorry and becomes The Joker!

So, you might remember that at the start of Batman V Superman Thomas and Martha were played by Jeffrey Dean Morgan and Lauren Cohen and they’re both pretty great actors, so we felt that they were wasted in the movie as they have minutes, if not seconds, of screen time.

And now we perhaps know why.

Immediately after the announcement of Flashpoint, Morgan sent out a tweet of himself and Cohen at last year’s SDCC with the words ‘Did you say… #Flashpoint?’

And he tagged Cohen in too.

So here’s the deal, we reckon this will be a thing. And we here at FTN reckon that Morgan, who plays Negan in The Walking Dead and was the Comedian in Zack Snyder’s Watchmen, and Cohenm again who is a total badass in The Walking Dead, would be superb in those roles.

If you think the DC movies have been dark so far, this story could be pitch black.

What say you all? Could you see this being an event in the cinematic universe?

Let us know your thoughts…
