Get ready for the new daily show

With The Office spinoff coming, Bryan Cranston has a great idea for a Dunder Mifflin movie

We’ve known for a while now that there is likely a new series based on The Office coming (here) and now it seems that it’s a little closer to happening.

Greg Daniels, who adapted The Office for the US audience has started a writers’ room for the spinoff show which will take place in the same world but will be a new office and new cast, however, a great new idea has been bandied about that would definitely get fans excited.

Now Breaking Bad star Bryan Cranston, who directed an episode of the show, on the recent episode of Ladies of the Office Podcast, has a great idea for The Office’s next step.

Thoughts? I know you have them! Voice-off in the usual ways on FTN’s Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Youtube, Bluesky,
Truth, Tumblr, Threads & Mastodon!

“Let’s say that there’s not a reboot series, but what if there was a movie?” Cranston says, “Something to where we can see where these people are. These people in the entire cast that we’re curious about. We wondered at the end, where did they go? What did become of them?”

Stars Jenna Fischer and Angela Kinsey seemed up for it, with Fischer saying: “As long as Greg [Daniels] is writing it and he’s in charge of it, then I say yes.”

And Kinsey adding: “I would do it for my kids because I think they would think that’s fun.”

Cranston revealed he just wants to appear in that world, saying: “I just want to be an extra in it. I would be some guy. I’d be a crossing guard or something like that. Just something.”

Honestly, with Daniels putting together a writers’ room, the ‘ten years later’ movie would actually be a great way to reunite with the characters from Dunder Mifflin. Fair Play Cranston, that’s a solid notion.

Get ready, there’s a reboot of The Office (probably) coming
