Oh yes, this is one of those bits of casting that just makes you think ‘take my money!’
The always amazing Helen Mirren has signed on as the big bad villain in Shazam! sequel Fury of the Gods.
The Excalibur and Fast & Furious star, left, will play Hespera, the daughter of Atlas opposite Zachary Levi as the titular hero and newcomer Rachel Zegler in an as-yet undisclosed role.
While little is known of the plot at this stage, we do know that the movie will once again be directed by David F Sandberg and will see the cast of the original movie returning, including Asher Angel as Shazam!’s alter-ego Billy Batson alongside his adopted family in the movie Jack Dylan Grazer as Freddy Freeman, Grace Fulton as Mary Bromfield, Ian Chen as Eugene Choi, Jovan Armand as Pedro Peña and Faithe Herman as Darla Dudley.
It also seems likely the Marvel Family will appear too with Adam Brody, Michelle Borth, Ross Butler, DJ Cotrona and Meagan Good looling set to reprise their roles. We’re also hearing Mark Strong’s Dr Thaddeus Sivana will return.
But will we see Dwayne Johnston as Black Adam? Or Henry Cavill as Superman? Only time will tell…
