Zazie Beetz likely returning for Joker and Deadpool sequels

August 16th, 2022 by Marc Comments

While she’s currently being awesome in the very fun Bullet Train alongside Brad Pitt, actress Zazie Beetz has her eye on returning to two of her most iconic, also comic book, roles.

The actress is currently in talks to return as Sophie Dummond in Joker: Folie à Deux, the sequel to the wildly successful, rightly so, Joker starring Joaquin Phoenix. The actress, should she return, will join the returning Phoenix and Lady Gaga who is set to appear as Harley Quinn (here).

The move to see Sophie return for the Joker sequel raised a few eyebrows as many believed the character died offscreen, however, Director/writer Todd Phillips has confirmed that she survived the movie (here).

But that’s not all. On her return as Domino in the third, now MCU, Deadpool movie, the actress playfully commented that she ‘would love to do more Deadpool’ and, while she reveals nothing, that smile looks very playful, if not knowing, to us… thoughts?:

She went on to give an even more promising answer to THR saying: “Well, I can’t, obviously, really say anything, but I feel lucky. I just can’t really divulge or say anything, so we’ll see, I suppose.”

Now, obviously this could be a nod to the character Domino’s mutant power which is, well, she’s lucky, but honestly, we would be shocked if she wasn’t set to return as Domino as Ryan REynolds’ Deadpool heads to the MCU.

More Zazie Beetz in the Joker and Deadpool sequels? Yes, please…
