Well, we’ve had the Ghostbusters: Afterlife trailer today (here), the trailer breakdown from director Jason Reitman (here) and now Hasbro has revealed some of the upcoming toys and collectibles from the movie and, well, we’re already wondering how we’re going to finance ALL of this stuff.

First up, we have the more kid-orientated Fright Features line (which I love and cannot wait to get my hands on as they are the same scale as The Real Ghostbusters classic figures and you know I still have all those) which features, in wave one, the classic four GBs and then in wave two we get the new gang –  Finn Wolfhart (Trevor) Celeste O’Connor (Lucky), Logan Kim (Podcast) and McKenna Grace (Pheobe)…. and real fans will get a kick out of a couple of those sidekick ghosts:

Next up, is the Plasma line, which is the more collector-level figures. These figures have a couple of big reveals in them in the form of the original, older Ghostbusters all suited up from the new movie. And we don’t really know who the upright Terror Dog guy is but he looks mean as hell…

Next up, we have a very cool remote control Roller Trap from the movie. Now, sure the colour scheme is a bit inaccurate *ahem* but it’s crying out to be modified…

Next up is a very cool kids toys (imagine!) that seems to fire Stay Puft Marshmallows! I love it already!

And finally, we get Ghostbusters Cluedo…

“A team of paranormal eliminators will be racing to a mysterious farmhouse in the Ecto-1 to roast some ghosts and solve mysteries in the new Clue: Ghostbusters Edition Game. Inspired by the new Ghostbusters: Afterlife film, players will experience a suspenseful game of “whodunit” with artwork and characters inspired by the film iconic Ghostbusters franchise. By moving from location to location, narrowing down the possibilities, and through the process of elimination, players will figure out who the leader is, how to trap it, and where it will appear. Paranormal cards add teamwork to the game, letting players team up to battle a ghost or get closer to the truth. Once an accusation is made, players must check the Tobin’s Spirit Guide card sleeve to see if they are right, with the correct accusation winning the game.”

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
