Get ready superhero, The CW and DC Fans because October is bringing all the superhero action you could possibly want and we have some more details on

Arrow, The Flash (check out the season 3 poster above!) and Legends of Tomorrow…

So strap in folks…

Ok, Arrow kicks off again for season 5 on October 5th and here’s the skinny on the first episode where Oliver Queen tries to form a new Team Arrow:

“Legacy” — NEW BEGINNINGS — After Laurel’s (Katie Cassidy) death and the departures of both Diggle (David Ramsey) and Thea (Willa Holland) from Team Arrow, Oliver (Stephen Amell) takes to the streets solo to protect Star City’s citizens as the Green Arrow. With Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) guiding him from the bunker, Oliver is forced to deal with a city that has become overrun with both criminals and a slew of new (and painfully inexperienced) vigilantes. Watching Oliver try to balance his jobs as both the mayor and also the protector of Star City, Felicity suggests he form a new team, but Oliver resists. However, when a deadly new criminal, Tobias Church (guest star Chad L. Coleman), enters the picture, Oliver realizes the best thing for the city might be a new team of superheroes. Meanwhile, the flashbacks take us to Russia where Oliver faces off against the Bratva.

Ok, so, The Flash arrives for Season 3 on October 4th and Flashpoint is coming. Here’s the first episode synopsis:

WHAT WOULD YOU SACRIFICE TO HAVE EVERYTHING YOU’VE EVER WANTED? — Barry (Grant Gustin) is living his dream life – his parents are alive, he’s asked Iris West (Candice Patton) on a date and he can finally be a normal guy as Central City has another speedster, Kid Flash (Keiynan Lonsdale), running around saving the city. When Barry starts forgetting parts of his old life, the Reverse Flash (guest star Matt Letscher) taunts his nemesis and tells him that there will be serious repercussions for Barry and the ones he loves if he continues to live in this alternate universe. In addition to losing his memories, his powers will also start to fade. When disaster strikes, Barry must decide if he wants to continue to live in this world as Barry Allen or return to his universe as The Flash.

And finally, here’s an image from Legends of Tomorrow Season 2 that has up geeking out at the sheer Miami Vice-ness of it all.

We know that this season will see the Legion of Doom is coming to the series with Damian Darhrk (Neal McDonough), Reverse Flash (Matt Letscher), Malcolm Merlyn (John Barrowman), and Captain Cold (Wentworth Miller) uniting to destroy the Legends starting on October 13th, well here’s Darhk and Reverse Flash looking very 80s cool – and check out those hashtags!:

We love it when a plan comes together. #legionofdumb #legendsoftomorrow #ebonyandirovy

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
