COMIC-CON@HOME: first footage from Rick & Morty season 5 gives us a taste of what’s to come

After its full-on return to form with season 4, we Rick and Morty fans have been pacing the floor for our first look at season 5.

But now, at Comic-Con@Home, Adult Swim have released their first glimpse at season 5 that seems to find Morty in a precarious postion.

Still, it’s hardly the first time.

As for when the series will see the light of day, well, that’s anyone’s guess as it seems that, while animation and planning may be going ahead, the actual production has yet to begin because of that damned virus.

Star Sarah Chalke, who plays Morty’s daughter, Beth, in the show, said recently: “As it stands, we are going to most likely hold off on recording until things settle down a little bit, in terms of when… you know, maybe if there was an option that we could possibly record… you know, when we could record back at the studio.”

Well, we’re happy to wait as there’s loads of cracking stuff to watch on TV these days… but there’s only on Rick & Morty.

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
