We’re all Community fans here at FTN.

Like we need to say it.

So we’re still holding on to the hope that we’ll get #SixSeasonsAndAMovie; we got the six seasons – we need the movie.

And showrunner Dan Harmon, speaking in July, said that he believed the movie was a sure thing: “We live in a world where Veronica Mars happened because fans were excited about it,” Harmon said.

“The Community fans have riled for this movie. The cast wants to do the movie. I want to do the movie. It’s going to inevitably happen.”

So when can we expect it? The show, despite having a passionate fanbase, had a hard time getting to the final sseason – it was a running gag in the show that, if the characters’ lives were a TV show, it would need to get to the mythical six seasons and a movie: “The most important thing is the planning,” Harmon said.

“And those types of meetings happen in backrooms with executives who think there’s something they can capitalize on. We’re not invited to these meetings. Before you know it, it’s happening and you’re on set.”

Well now, while it’s far from confirmation, actor Ken Jeong, who played Ben Chang in the show, has been asked in an AMA is he thinks the movie will happen and , in two short words, he keeps the dream alive: “I do.”

Short and concise, we’ll take it that Jeong has reason to believe it’s happening. And well stay excited until we hear otherwise.

Now, can someone please get Chevy Chase on the phone?

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
