The upcoming, highly anticipated Alien: Earth series has a new synopsis on Disney+ and, given the recent revelations in the recent Predator: Badlands, it could lead to very interesting things.
Ok, so we learned recently that the new series from Noah Hawley would see the Xenomorphs from the Alien movies come to earth but they wouldn’t be alone, there’d be five other new alien species along with them, brought to earth by a crashed vessel, that has alien specimens on board, one of which is our old friends who like t eat your face with a small, inner snapping mouth.
However, who the ship belongs to is a mystery. But the new synopsis for the series may reveal all…
The new synopsis reads:
When a mysterious space vessel crash-lands on Earth, a young woman and a ragtag group of tactical soldiers make a fateful discovery that puts them face-to-face with the planet’s greatest threat.
As members of the crash recovery crew search for survivors among the wreckage, they encounter mysterious predatory life forms more terrifying than they could have ever imagined.
With this new threat unlocked, the search crew must fight for survival and what they choose to do with this discovery could change planet Earth as they know it.
Wait, back up… “they encounter mysterious predatory life forms”… “predatory life forms”. Is this ship a crashed Yautja ship?!
In the Badlands trailer, we learned that Elle Fanning’s character Thia, who works with the Predator in the movie, is a Weland-Yutani synthetic, the same as the ones we see in the Alien movies.
In 1992, Predator 2 had a fun Alien Easter Egg, that led to comics, toys, and eventually two movies, which are no longer considered canon to either franchise… but is the series, along with Predator: Badlands, about to set up an Aliens Vs Predator movie arc only, you know, done properly?
I really, really think it is.

I think the crashed ship has is a Predator ship with Aliens – new and familiar – onboard and when they get free, the Predators might eventually have to clean up the mess, after all, with this being a prequel to the 1979 classic Alien, we know that the Xenomorphs are not roaming around earth but maybe this is why the Nostromo was forced to investigate by ‘the company’… because maybe they knew what exactly they were facing because they saw them on earth a few years earlier.
This could all be done with the Predators themselves being a very small part of the show, which I think will be the aim.
Or am I letting my imagination run riot? Whatever happens, I can’t wait to see this series… whenever it drops.
Thoughts? I know you have ’em and I wanna hear them…
