It was starting to feel like it was never really going to happen, but at last, we have the Y The Last Man series coming!
At the Disney Investor Day 2020 FX officially announced the Y series was coming and I cannot wait!
The adaptation of Brian K. Vaughan and Pia Guerra’s iconic comic has ben stop/starting for years (check here) but it looks like this time it’s actually going to happen.
In the series the titular Y – Yorick Brown – will be played by Ben Schnetzer, Agent 355 will be played by Ashley Romans and Hero Brown will be played by Olivia Thirlby and filming is finally underway!
The series sees a “cataclysmic event” every mammal on earth except for Yorick and pet monkey ampersand (what an amazing name!) and will also star Diane Lane as Yorick’s mother, Congresswoman Jennifer Brown, Amber Tamblyn as Kimberly Cunningham, Marin Ireland as Nora Brady, Diana Bang as Dr. Allison Mann; Elliot Fletcher as Sam Jordan; and Juliana Canfield as Beth Deville.
Y: The Last Man is set to arrive in 2021. Probably.
