Get ready for the new daily show

Duffer brothers confirm Stranger Things Season 3 but also know when the series will likely end

We’re already excited for the second season of Stranger Things which hits Netflix just before Halloween, but it seems we also have reason to be even more excited… and a little sad.

In a new interview brothers Matt and Ross Duffer, the guys behind the awesome series, spoke about season two, saying they “wanted to push things a bit,” because, like any good movie sequel, “Nunber two is always a little bit bigger.”

However, even more excitingly, they also confirmed that the show already has a third season green-lit (yay!) and a fourth is planned (yay!), however, it’s unlikely it’ll go any further: “We’re thinking it will be a four-season thing and then out,” said Ross.

The show runners also said that the show may evolve from what we’ve seen already and likely will in the second season: “I don’t know if we can justify something bad happening to them [the kids in the show] once a year [whatever happens] They’re going to have to get the f@#k out of this town! It’s ridiculous!”

So we could be in for a big change after Season 2 and whatever happens it looks like we have four years ahead of us in Hawkins… and that’s just fine with us.

Stranger Things Season 2 returns to Netflix on October 27.

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
