Fans of Brian K Vaughan and Pia Guerra’s popular post-apoc Vertigo series, Y: The Last Man,following Agent 355, Hero, Yorick, and co. should be excited by the news that the title is being brought to life on TV.
The series follows Yorick, an escape artist and the last man on earth, following a situation where all men globally have died.
According to Variety, FX has begun casting its pilot. Barry Keoghan (Dunkirk) is Yorick, the aforementioned last man, Imogen Poots (28 Weeks Later, Green Room)his sister, Hero. Diane Lane (Man of Steel) is their mother, Senator Jennifer Brown and Lashana Lynch (Captain Marvel) is Agent 355. Juliana Canfield (Succession) is Yorick’s girlfriend, Beth, and Marin Ireland (Hell or High Water) plays Nora, the President’s assistant.
The Hunger Games producer Nina Jacobson has finally got the oft stalled project off the ground with Michael Green and Aida Mashaka Croal showrunning. More details to follow.
