It looks like fans of Netflix’s Chilling Adventures of Sabrina have to get prepared for the end.
Netflix has pulled the plug on their series which will now end at the end of season 2 – which was split over four parts for some reason – and the final eight episodes, dubbed – “a spooky, sexy, and supernatural series finale” – will air later this year.
showrunner Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa said in a statement: “Working on Chilling Adventures of Sabrina has been an incredible honor from Day One.
“The cast, beginning with Kiernan as everyone’s favorite teen witch, has been an absolute joy. I am beyond thankful to the crew, writers, editors, assistants, and everyone for pouring so much love into this dark dream of a show. I’m also grateful to our partners at Netflix, Warner Bros., Berlanti Television and Archie Comics for letting us tell the story we wanted to tell, the way we wanted to tell it. We can’t wait for everyone to see Part Four.”
The CW’s Katy Keene was cancelled a few days ago too and, like Sabrina, it too is an Archie Comics inspired show,so now Riverdale on The CW is standing alone.
Honestly, I enjoyed the first half of season 1 of Sabrina but I wasn’t able to get back into it after the release of part two.
Anyone out there fans of the show? Let us know… and also enjoy the first four images from the season (above and below).
It all comes down to one last Chilling Adventure. Our final chapter is coming later this year. Coven forever. 🖤 pic.twitter.com/T0jkwAc1wJ
