For those of you wondering, we have our first look at the latest Big Bang Theory spinoff, Stuart Fails To Save The Universe, which arrives this July.

The fourth series in the Big Bang Theory universe (Big Bang Theory, Young Sheldon, Georgie & Mandy’s First Wedding and this) sees comic book store owner Stuart Bloom (Kevin Sussman), who is tasked with restoring reality after he breaks a device built by Sheldon and Leonard, accidentally bringing about a multiverse Armageddon. Stuart is aided in this quest by his girlfriend Denise, geologist friend Bert, and quantum physicist/all-around pain in the ass Barry Kripke.

Along the way, they meet alternate-universe versions of characters we’ve come to know and love from The Big Bang Theory. As the title implies, things don’t go well.

Gina Carano ‘has had talks’ with Filoni and Favreau… Cara Dune returning to Star Wars?

However, the interesting news is that Batman ’89 and Beetlejuice and, yes, The Simpsons, composer Danny  Elfman is composing the show’s theme tune.

The new show’s cast also includes Lauren Lapkus as Stuart’s girlfriend Denise, Brian Posehn as Bert and John Ross Bowie as Barry.

The series is written and exec-produced by Big Bang creator Chuck Lorre.

Honestly, it baffles me that the Big Bang Theory is now four shows deep.

Thoughts? I know you have them and I wanna hear ’em.

The Pacific Rim story gets official sequel/ending in new graphic novel limited series

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
