We found out in November (here) that the unlikely choice of Two And A Half Men’s Jon Cryer had been cast as Supergirl’s Lex Luthor…
And, while we haven’t seen him in action, the first look image above certainly makes him look menacing.
In the Supergirl universeLex has been in a maximum security prison ( as seen above) since the series began, but now Lex is prepared to get out an cause Melissa Benoist’s Supergirl all sorts of hassle… it has to be her as we learned Superman and Lois Lane have left earth to start a family.
Cryer will debut on St Patrick’s Day, March 17th in an episode called O’ Brother Where Art Thou.
The show itself has been a marked improvement this season with Sam Witwer’s awesome turn as the villainous Agent Liberty, so hopefully the show can maintain its current trajectory with the new cast addition.
In the episode “Lex Luthor reaches out from prison to enlist Lena (Katie McGrath) into one of his plans and will stop at nothing to get her on board, even if that means leveraging the life of one of her friends.”
We’ll always be excited when a big comic character makes his or her debut… and they don’t come much bigger than Lex.
