While it was noticeable that there was no content at SDCC for the upcoming second season of Supergirl, we now have what we were really hoping to see…
Yes, alongside Melissa Benoist’s Supergirl, we now have our first look at Tyler Hoechlin as her famous cousin, Superman.
And he looks the part, for sure.
We think he definitely has an Earth 2 (below) look to his outfit, which fits perfectly with the ever expanding CW DC TV Universe.

The new Superman suit was designed by Kiersten Ronning who also designed Supergirl’s outfit. And we love the fresh look while it still has hints of Henry Cavill’s suit in the new DC Cinematic Universe.
Hoechlin will make his debut in Supergirl’s Season 2 premiere on Monday, October 10th on The CW.
